Tesla Autopilot Is 10 Times Safer Than a Human Driver

Last week, Tesla released its Q2 2024 vehicle safety report, and the data it showed was impressive. According to the report, the company’s vehicles with active Autopilot were involved in just one crash for every 6.88 million miles driven. By comparison, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) reported one crash for every 670,000 miles driven in the United States. This means that Tesla Autopilot is already more than 10 times safer than a human driver.

It is also important to add information about those Tesla vehicles that have been involved in accidents while driven by human drivers. For these cars, one accident was recorded every 1.45 million miles traveled. This again shows significantly better results than the overall accident rate in the US. This superiority is possible due to the combination of passive safety features built into every vehicle Tesla produces.

Model Y Leads China's EV Market in 2024

Tesla's sales in China are gradually recovering, data shows. Model Y's popularity is gaining momentum, leading to an increase in vehicle registrations. The compact SUV continues to lead the battery electric vehicle (BEV) segment in China, ranking first in sales for the first seven months of 2024. Model Y Is Germany’s Best-Selling BEV in 2024

Tesla continues to strengthen its position in Germany thanks to strong sales of Model Y. The compact SUV got off to a strong start to the year and held on to its position as the best-selling BEV. In the first seven months, 18,588 Model Ys were sold, 4,343 more than its closest competitor. Volkswagen was able to sell 14,245 ID.3s, which only guaranteed it second place.

Tesla Semi Is Preparing to Enter the European Market
