FSD is preparing for release in China
Last weekend, Elon Musk made an unannounced trip to China. Its goal was to promote FSD technology and ensure its entry into the country's market. Immediately after this, rumors emerged that Tesla had expanded its cooperation with Baidu. As part of it, Tesla cars will have access to the Enhanced Driving Assistance Map GS(2023)4634, which is a deeply customized lane-level map. This map has just been approved by the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR), which has published this information on its website.
In addition, it is reported that some Tesla car owners in China have been invited to participate in early testing of FSD in the country. According to the information in the invitation, the program started on April 30, and owners who received invitations had to confirm their participation.
Tesla unveils High Fidelity Park Assist and a new version of Autopark
The company has introduced two new features for Ultrasonic Sensor (USS) vehicles, High Fidelity Park Assist, and a new version of Autopark. Previously, both functions were only available on vehicles without USS. They were added in version 2024.3.25 for vehicles with the new AMD Ryzen chip.
Cybertruck gets new off-road capabilities
The steel beast will receive a number of features designed for more efficient off-road driving. Among them are Overland Mode and Baja Mode. Overland Mode will provide more stable handling and improved traction on terrain such as gravel, sand, and snow. Baja Mode improves the vehicle's balance, providing a freer, more responsive driving experience in challenging conditions.
