Entry into the Indian market is getting closer

Tesla may intensify its efforts to enter the Indian market in the near future. The country has finally introduced a policy that will reduce import taxes on electric vehicles (EVs). Automakers will have to commit to investing at least US$500 million in India and commit to setting up local manufacturing within three years. At the same time, the level of local supply components for production should be 25% by the third year and 50% by the fifth year of production. If automakers agree to meet these obligations, they will receive import duty reductions, down to just 15%, for vehicles costing $35,000 or more. This paves the way for Tesla to begin deliveries and later production in India.

4680 battery cell production reaches new records

This means that Giga Texas produced about 1.4 battery cells. According to the latest estimates, Tesla produces between 525 and 700 Cybertrucks per week.
