Tesla Is Catching Up in China in March

At the moment, official sales data for March in China is not yet available. However, based on insurance registration data, enthusiasts are noting the possible number of sales. Thus, the data shows that after a significant slowdown due to the retooling of production lines for the updated Model Y, Tesla has finally started to gain momentum.

Registrations in the first week of the month, from March 3 to 9, amounted to 13,800 units. In the second week ending March 16, 15,300 units were registered. In the third week ending March 23, 17,400 units were registered. In the last week of the month ending March 30, 20,700 units were registered. Thus, the estimated figures show that around 67,200 units were registered in March, indicating a resumption of production speed.

Tesla Giga Berlin produces its 500,000th Model Y

Last week, Giga Berlin reached a major milestone by producing its 500,000th Model Y. This came just in time for the three-year anniversary of the opening of the factory, which officially began operations on March 22, 2022. In March 2023, Giga Berlin reached a production level of 5,000 Model Y vehicles per week, which corresponded to an annual production volume of around 250,000 vehicles.

Tesla Named UK’s Best-Rated Car Brand for 2025

Tesla has been named the UK’s best-rated car brand for 2025, with its cars also scoring highly for reliability in the latest Honest John satisfaction index. Honest John surveys car owners annually across key categories including efficiency, reliability, practicality, comfort, safety, and performance. This year’s results showed that Tesla scored an impressive overall satisfaction rating of 89.41%, beating Lexus, Porsche, and Honda. The company achieved the highest rating based on direct feedback from more than 6,000 UK motorists. Tesla also came in second for reliability with a score of 95.29%, just behind Lexus with a rating of 97.01%.

Tesla Model Y Is Norway’s Best-Selling Car in Q1 2025

Tesla Model Y continues to lead sales in Norway. Sales figures for March showed that the car, with 1,817 units, was the best-selling car in the country. Despite a significant slowdown in sales due to the transition to an updated version of the vehicle, Model Y was able to maintain its lead in Q1 of the year. With 2,781 units sold, the electric SUV was the best-selling car in the first three months of the year. Toyota BZ4X took second place with 2,117 registrations. In third place was Volkswagen ID.4 with 1,789 units.

Tesla Reports Q1 Deliveries

On April 2, Tesla published its delivery results for Q1 2025. The company reported production of 362,615 vehicles, down more than 16% from the 433,371 vehicles produced in Q1 2024. In Q1 2025, the company delivered 336,681 vehicles, down nearly 13% from the 386,810 vehicles delivered in Q1 2024. The significant decline in production, and therefore sales, was due to Tesla shutting down production at all of its factories earlier this year to retool production lines for the updated Model Y. However, the ramp-up of the updated Model Y is now picking up speed.
